Is your birth name the name that's "yours"?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 20, 2009:
Hahahahhahahahaa....
I can't tell you how much I've disliked my birth name!!!! I STILL don't like it!!! I don't even know how to pronounce it! Isn't that sad?! I remember Americanizing my first name and my 3rd grade teacher asked how to pronounce my real name and I didn't have a clue. OMG that's pathetic, hahahhahaa. :-D
I also changed my name (in my mind) more than anyone I know (Prince and I are alot alike LOL)...I recall as a child asking my parents (and everyone) to call me: Cindy (Brady Bunch era LOL)...Elizabeth...Erica (my Beloved Daddy played along and DID call me whatever I wanted LOL)
Among friends, I was known by a thousand different names, as I went through a thousand different phases, LOL.
But to recap my Real names and their meanings...
~My first name means: Queen of a Woman's Kingdom
~My middle name means: Holy Song
~My last name means: Lion / "She Who Has Not Been Conquered"
Now here's the crazy harmonic synchronistic part...
As you know, my spiritually adoptive Gaian parents Aley and Keith renamed me ARIELA (a take on the Archangel Uriel because they wanted something to represent The Light, and feminized it into Ariela)...
Then not too long ago, my darling darling Sister Goddess Amy told me that "Ariela" meant "God's Lioness"
See?
Hahhahahahahahaha :-P
So the Essence of Who I Am remains the same no matter what I'm called LOL.
A Rose by any other name would still smell as sweet....or Roar as loud :-D

Omg, U and I have a similar story to share. I just finished a blog, laughing at the name I got from a priest. And yes, lol, when I first came to Gaia, I fell in love with “Ariela” and remembered it meant “god's lioness” becuz a few of my relatives have this lovely name and it so close to “ariel” the little mermaid. Lol. But I sure love the meanings of your real names, my queen of thy women's kingdom. Hugs. Love u too much.

I can't thank you enough too…for just mentioning the meaning of Ariela…did you know it meant so much to me? It does!
And yes, I did fall in love with Ariel and the Little Mermaid (I know it by heart and am probably responsible for 99% of the adult sales of the movie because I made all my adult friends watch it, then they bought it LOL)
People are soooo much more similar than different, eh Miss Amy?

I had a mom with “problems.” I had a few names thrown around. My birth certificate ended up with baby girl until I was about 12. You cannot do that today. She finally chose a few with the first name Lorinda, so I just made everything legal to reflect Lorinda after that. I had unpleasant memories attached to the name.
Later people always said that Lorinda was a pretty name; I also had not known it at the time that it means Laura-I probably would have felt better with that name. Yes, Cynthia is my second name.
lol, i totally agree. people are so much more similar than different. awesome, i so love ruling the queendom with u. omg, u did what??? lol, that totally rocks…becuz if I didn't know about the little mermaid, I'd sure go out and get a copy instantly.

Miss Amy {Hugs} LOL…this was in my 20's and 'my crew' was a bunch of crazy people who were so much fun, we all acted like kids, so watching The Little Mermaid wasn't weird at all! Ha, if you only knew the stupid things we did :-D
