What is your favorite family story?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 15, 2008:
They're not really my particular "favorites"...just stories that ARE told...ALOT.
~Number One on the list is the "Ariela died when she was a baby" story. Always told in a way that made me feel like they didn't WANT me to be Resurrected. Oh well, take that up with my Creator when you get there. :-D
~The one about my sister was outside "eating raisins" off the ground...which was really little turds.
~The one when I was about 6 and stepped on a tack and started screaming, "A Tack! A Tack! A Tack!" and my brother came rushing in saying, "Attack Who? Attack Who?" LMAO.
~I recently heard a story from a friend who lived down the block from my family, about when my Father had Alzheimers and would still go off walking around by himself. My friend told me that my dad got lost a half-block away from the house but was still soooo polite and asked this friend, "Excuse me, I seem to have gotten turned around. Do you know where I live?" :-D Thank God everyone knew him and he asked the right person, who escorted him home. =)
That IS one of my faves, because it's heartwarming...And of course, I miss my Dad. =)

Awww….such stories….
And loving your dad…just like you…dads are awesome
Do you recall dying? :)
If the story is in your blog, send me the link and I will enjoy having a look
I am fairly sure your family is glad you were spat back and not taken from here as a baby - lol
I liked the “a tack!”
It reminds me of the joke about the guy who went to the pharmacy and purchased condoms and the cashier said: “that will be 9.99 plus tax” and the guy said “tacks? I thought they stayed on by themselves!”

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You…His Spirit is strong around me these days. I know he was listening to the videos with me, feeling the love I have for him. Thanks Samme~~<3
~Hugs Amma Aley~
Thank You =) It's such a shame that so many kids are growing up with dads who are absent or off selfishly doing their own thing. Mine was There and Present and very Devoted.
I was talking to a friend one day and my brother was whining about how my dad hit him (when he was acting like an idiot, of course) and my friend stunned him (and hopefully changed his perspective) by saying, “I wish I had my daddy around to beat me and yell at me.” (Her father was killed a long time ago).
I am Thankful…now more than ever for his presence and attentiveness…something I really couldn't grasp as a child.
~Hugs Ruth~
I tried to find you some links and got lost in my own blog, LMAO :-D Gawwwd, did I really say all of that? ROTFLMAO :-D
I don't think I've really told the story. I mention little bits here and there, but really, I don't know the whole story. It's a Mystery. When I've asked for details, I never get a straight answer and everything is very Vague.
Yes, I remember dying. I was a year old (give or take a few months). It took me a looooong time to put into words all the things I felt and went through. (language escapes me at that age, LOL)…but the feelings and emotions…yes…those are beginning to form into words.
I was…umm…disgusted at the family I had been born into. This was not what I signed on for. I wanted OUT. I wanted to go back and question if this was the right venue for me to learn and teach. The Darkness of this family was overwhelming to me and I didn't think I had the Strength to deal with them.
Whatever DID happen, I was given that opportunity. I distinctly remember my mother crying and praying over me as I Stepped Over into the Light. I was infused with added Strength and Light, Comforted and Assured that this was the best path and that I had things to do! I was told that by my sheer Presence, I was accomplishing my mission. Shining My Light. Lighting Up the Darkness. =)
I've shined so bright within the family….that they disappeared! :-D LOL
(this is a case of “No messenger, no message.”)
Thank You All for your Love, your comments, your time, support and presence!~~<3
I love the story about your dad! I was raised with a friendly but distant adoptive step-dad (who now has Alzheimer's) and have just been getting acquainted with my birth father, the last ten years or so since he's been in Spirit. Your father sounds like a lovely gentleman, and my heart warms to imagine him.
Very interesting to me also is that you remember your “death” as an infant. I remember what preceded my entry into my present body, which was not long after a “looked like she wasn't going to make it” ME was born! Guess I should blog about it… I don't talk about it much to avoid sounding airy-fairy batshit crazy. <lol> You've given me courage!
Keep shining that gorgeous, darkness-piercing light…
~Hugs MamaSue~
Are you saying I'm airy fairy batshit crazy? LMAO :-D
I'm sure you are a Miracle Child, love…Do tell your story. Perhaps there are things we can learn in the sharing (I'm sure of it!).
Sending you Beams of Light infused with Love…and Courage :-D ~~<3
Awe, those-back-in-the-day-stories…. some are beautiful indeed but the ones we don't like to hear…somehow, they repeat those ones endlessly. lol.

~Hugs Amy~
Awww yes, I know. And Thank You, Sister. All the back-in-the-day stories are our foundations…all the experiences built us up to who we are Today. Love Youuu~~<3

and that's why i love my fun and crazy friends…
pssst.. i think our Goddess Ames is growing something 'funky' in her Secret Garden. I told her so.
Ariela, it is quite possible that you took the place of some other little spirit, unable to withstand their darkness, as a kindness to both the weaker spirit and the family.
If so, they were all blessed by your kindness–as we are, for if not for that selfless act, you might not be here for us now.
love and joy,
CG
~Hugs Liza~
LMAO…I saw that little comment on the Gaia main page LOL :-D I'm glad you said it, hahhahahhahaa…maybe a little happy grass in that secret garden, heeheehee :-D
(though the same has been said about me :-D)
~Hugs C.G~
Omigoodness Ceej…I never thought of that!!! And it's a high possiblity, that!
Perhaps I seemed 'different' when I was Resurrected…because I WAS. (They sure don't like my Indigo Warrior vibe, LOL)
Hmmmm….good food for thought…will think on it more. Thank You, Thank You C.G. for your perspective and wisdom.
Love Youuuuu!~~<3
Lol, you gals……….and hey……Ariela and I are not the only Gaia comics in this area of the woods…………psst….psst…..under her poetic makeup, I believe our sparkling Star is a sweet comedian herself……..and our royal Liza is one too…………….lol…..she knows….she knows…..gawd……I am busted…but shhh!!! don't alert the RCMP about my 'funky' backyard activities just yet……..lol.

((Biiiiiig Squeezy Hugs!))
Love Youuuuuu!~~<3
That's very odd, I also died as a baby. Your family sounds somewhat similar to mine, which is funny to me (laregely because that rarely happens).
That last story made me smile, but it's sad to think in my neighborhood people might be more likely to just send you farther away as a joke. Which is simply… hilarious…
~Hugs Centri~
Wow. Isn't that something! Welcome Oh Resurrected One! :-D (LOL, now my name makes sense, doesn't it?) You must share the story with me sometime. (or did you? please send a link!)
LOL…that's exactly why I love the story! OMG, I live in NY after all! They do stuff like that just for fun! My Daddy was a lucky man like that though.
Thank You for your comments!~~<3
I love it! Especially the a tack! story! Aren't kids sometimes so funny?
~Hugs Kundan~
Thank You! LOL…ahhh, see how we can laugh now at things that used to be traumatic at the time? That's when you know you've truly healed from it :-D hehehhee :-D
The Tack story IS pretty funny. Yes, even I can say the darndest things, LOL.
Thanks for the visit, luv~~<3
