What draws us together?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for July 09, 2008:
Everything has the potential to draw us together.
Everything.
Of course Love...but even Tragedy.
Case in Point... September 11, 2001....
At times during this horrific event, I stood outside with neighbors watching it unfold, some people starting to stream into Brooklyn, having walked across the bridge from Manhattan.
These people we didn't know....we hugged them, they reached out to hug us. I did this for MONTHS...just to hear someone mention it, we'd automatically just Embrace tightly and share the pain. So many people just sitting, staring blankly, or head down with the weight of the world on their shoulders...I'd just reach out and hug them.
Everywhere I went, for weeks, I would see people just...fall into each others arms...people who didn't know each other, but shared in this 'event'. We could've devolved into chaos and violence...but we didn't. I saw the most amazing occurences of Unity of Love of Solidarity of Compassion of Comfort of Concern of Care of Spontaneous acts of Kindness.
I was witness to one of the most awesome experiences....when it seemed everyone in New York let out a synchronistic simultaneous, "Oh My God."
(I was picturing somewhere God was saying, "YES!!!" Why can't you guys do that without a tragedy of this magnitude? How horrific do things have to get for you all to be as One?")
Kind of a morose answer, I suppose, LOL. But there was a Rebirth through that tragedy.
Human Glue was spread between person to person. Unfortunately, by now, most have washed the Glue off.
To state an Obvious answer to this Q&A, I'll sing it with this song...

Love Will Keep Us Together

Indeed…why doe sit take tragedy to bring us together..? It appears it is the only thing that makes us stop and realize life is fragile..
thanks darlin
Sigh, I know Dear Amma Aley…
Most unfortunate is that once tragedy strikes, everyone's heart is Wounded, Broken…and then open to compassion and love…But just for a while…then their Hearts start to Harden again, building up those walls again, being unaffected again.
:-( So sad it can't be learned permanently. =)
Beautiful!
Yes everytime a tragedy strikes several souls wake up to what is real.
Oneness and Love even if for a short while. I have much compassion
as I see these situations for what they really are. Several souls
choosing to sacrifice their temporary temple's to wake up ALL
of humanity. What a great service born out of Unconditional Love. :-)
((Hugs Lisha))
Yes, Thank You. Very true. I'd rather have it in short bursts than none at all, though :-D
I will also not forget these Master Teachers who volunteered for this Great Service. Their lives and their message will not be in vain.
I'm sure some are changed forever through these tragedies…Sighhhh….I guess as many tragedies as there needs to be for everyone to be affected and wake up.

It won't be much longer there is a quickening going on right now. In fact we're probably ahead of schedule in the grand scheme of things! LOL
(((Hugs backatcha)))
Whoops, I retract that statement, LOL :-D
Yes, you're right about the Quickening. Huge Power Surge =)
Thanks for straightening me out, Lisha, LOL (**slaps self…Silly Girl, that was the Old World**) :-D

I agree, Ariela….anything can bring us together. We decide which it is.
blessings, dear one,
CG
Thank You, C.G. ((hugssss))
We are all Together Already. The point is to crack our Hearts open to let the Light in and out. Tragedies break our Hearts open…for the most Hardened of Hearts.
But there is something called The Sacred Wound…
A Heart Always Open… not healed/sealed shut.
In Peace we can choose Togetherness and Unity.
In Love we can choose it too.
In War we can choose it too.
In Famine and Strife and all sorts of…Everything…we can still choose to be One.
We don't have to build walls to separate ourselves and others. We don't.
But that's your choice. =)
