Couldn't sleep last night, so I went to one of my favorite sites, Galaxy Zoo...where I help to classify Galaxies. It's lots of fun and makes me feel very Humbled to Be Here. Such a Vast, Vast place I find myself in.
Anyhow, thought I'd share some interesting finds. If you look at enough photos, you start to become filled with Wonder and Amazement and AWE, and all sorts of other stuff :-D
I've also added some Arrows to point out to you What I See when I look at them. My perception may differ, so tell me what you think =)
By Far, one of my faves. WOW. It looks like it says Both Love and Joy at the same time. YES!
Yeah, Weird. And a conical alien skull at that. :-D
I started to wonder about what kind of Energy could make ZigZags. Noticed alot of Galaxies with pointy angles. Very weird. But what do I know, lol. The more I look at these types, the more it mirrors the Microcosm-Macrocosm...microbes (hmm, guess I'll call these Macrobes). I mean...they look like big bugs and they have what looks like Legs. Weirdness. LOL. These probably go around and eat up other galaxies. :-D
How can I resist this one? :-D A mixture of the Cancerian glyph (69), and also the Gratitude Symbol, and also I've seen crop circles in this formation. Freakin' Awesome =)

Some of them are soooo beautiful…like that 69 galaxy (though this time around I’m pointing out some weird stuff, lol)
What is “Galaxy Zoo” - is it a fun site or a scientific site? Does anyone do anything with the names “Spooky Skull”? Is it like naming stars for loved ones?

And well…it IS scientific, but that’s fun for ME :-D You have to run through a little training course to learn the difference between eliptical, spiral, star galaxies.
LOL…I named it Spooky Skull when I was saving the photo…on the site, they go by a long string of numbers as reference, which you can see at the bottom of the pics. =) LOL
Did you see the Love one? When saving it, I called it “OMG It Says Love” :-D So I’d remember what the heck I’d saved it for :-D

They just finished a study from all the classifications we’ve done (lots of technical stuff on the website) but since there are sooooooo many galaxies, they always need more people who will assist. The work goes on =)

They’re actually working on Galaxy Zoo 2, because now they want to get more in depth in classifying the merging galaxies. That oughtta be loads of fun too, because I’ve pointed out to them many, many merging galaxies (which they will keep an eye on) and that is an awesome sight when you see them!
