This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for July 27, 2008:
Gosh so many people, so many ways!
Here at Gaia, I receive the most wonderful friend invitations, and I have welcomed my share of noobs :-D It's a great feeling to be well-received!
Yesterday, I walked to the corner store, passing a house that's been for sale for a month, which I look at each time I pass, as it's a HUGE house...this time there was a man with a 4(?) yr. old son standing just inside the door. I asked if he was buying the house. He said he was a relative of the owner and was waiting for the electrician to finish the house and would I like to see the place. Would I!!!! It didn't matter that the floors were just done and everything was brand spanking new...he invited me in to look around and gave me the tour. A little chit chat and he also invited me to come work out with my partner (as it turns out, he's already met him at a martial arts tournament) at his dojo just across the street where he teaches Jiu Jitsu. Coolness!
A few years back, an incident stands out...going apartment hunting with my sister...we ended up in a complex and were kind of lost, LOL...well we ran into an elderly woman and asked her for directions and she invited us into her apartment, where my sister and I kept looking at each other with raised eyebrows...this wonderful sweet old woman made us some tea, brought us some cookies and settled in to tell us her life story. She even offered to let us sleep over if we were from out of town, wasn't she just the sweetest? LOL.
Although she wouldn't let us leave...she must've been hard up for company, and we lent an ear for as long as we could, as she made us feel so welcome in her home. She also shared that we were the first "brown" people she's ever wanted to talk to, LMAO
Soooo...happy to return the favor and welcome her into the 21st century, LOL.
OHHHH...I also seem to be the person everyone wants to hand their baby off to....? To welcome the newborn into the world? LOL...well, welcome Little One...I sing this song to them, (and my own babies!) as I'm delighted to serve this role...

Got a big mug of fresh brewed java, turned on the computer . First e-mail was notification of a new blog piece by vous. I loved reading these stories first thing this morning ;>)
((hugs))
Great journey thus far…. How special each of those moments are! Thank you for sharing and remembering them…
I am Love, Jeff

~Hugs Shirley, Mimi, Jeff and LoriAnn~ (group hug, lol)
Good Morning to you all, this was a nice reminiscent blog :-D Great memories of incredible characters.
Mimi, that is what I had just done when I wrote this, sitting with my cup o'joe.
Jeff, thank you, the journey continues…much more to share, We ARE Love ;-)
Loriann…how right you are! How many friends do we get to visit virtually and do so much in such little time!
BTW, although I am currently looking for a house, THAT house is just…umm…too much house, LOL. I like open spaces and that was just a whole bunch of small claustrophobic rooms! I do enjoy seeing inside of houses, always fun for me =)
I love seeing inside of houses too - maybe that is why I ventured into real estate sales for a few years. It was a nightmare - but I got to see inside fabulous houses (Niagara-on-the-Lake - fabulous period houses from the 1800's. It was a town where everyone kept the shades open so you could see into their fabulous houses. Everyone left their curtains/blinds/drapes open.even in the tiny cottages. It would be weird to see a house with closed blinds. Off for a 2nd cuppa…..(((hugs))
Mimi, it's another 'Cancerian thing'…real estate, houses…I got into timeshares eons ago :-D
Brownstone Brooklyn is a great place to roam around, no one has curtains in these TALL big windows, everything's so movie-set perfect, LOL.
Windows that are heavily draped make me feel like these are very closed people living here…probably doing stuff they don't want anyone to see :-x
…on cup #3, why not…another thunderstorm underway.
…hey Res…
…I want to thank you for just Being…
Oh wow!
I am so there!
Lovely, absolutely lovely
~Hugs Will~ Thank You very much, Divine Will~<3
~Hugs Loriann~ LOL, I know you are, my dear One~<3
I'd call this a Welcoming…
Once I walked into a pizza joint and about 5-7 kids (age about 13-15) who were loudly arguing before I walked in. When they turned around and watched me Enter the Room, they all got very quiet and one girl told the others, “Stop The Violence.”
…I like that Vibe they received from me :-D
It would be definitely exciting if the whole world would work like Gaia;) All in good time, though. Till then we can do our best to welcome eachother in every way we can.
Lately, I was welcomed by a family member whom I haven't seen in years. She (my cousin) made every effort to tell me how she missed me (hugs, smiles, laughs, attention) and the feeling was great! It's sometimes nice to visit family;)
~Hugs SixthSense, fanning the Fire Within~
Hello Love! I soooo know what you mean about Gaia working like Gaia :-D I still say we move to our own little state/country and declare Independence :-D LOL. As always, I adore Gaia, everyone who makes this place what it is…absolutely priceless, Thank You for being a part of the One!
Overjoyed to hear about your family reunion! Awww, cuzzos are great, aren't they? (This is a Global Time for reconnecting with Loved ones, and I love these happenings!)
You guys and gals here are my Global Family and I Love You All with All of my Heart~~<3
I just love these kinds of stories. With Arms Wide Open, life is pure magic. So, it seems you have discovered the same as I.

Oh wow…love the welcoming stories. I don't think anyone could resist welcoming you, dear Ariela. And you know why…because….
“A,” you're adorable, “B,” you're so beautiful,
“C,” you're a cutie full of charms.
“D,” means you're darling and “E,” so exciting
And “F,” you're my friend on Gaia farm…
Lol…my baby niece is over and she sings this song so adorably…..it's stuck in my head…but it's sweet to be 'stuck' with it….
Amy :-)
