This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 01, 2008:
I didn't like Halloween then and I still don't like it now. Must be that whole FEAR thing and making witches and ghosts/spirits look bad. :-D
Alot of the time, I didn't go to school on Halloween. At that time, the kids were into spraying Nair (hair remover) on girls' heads...and my hair was butt length. (Prime target I was!) Then there was the rotten eggs being thrown at you thing. Just MEAN stuff. No fun at all. Getting candy wasn't worth it! LOL!
I didn't have an enjoyable Halloween until I was a teenager and went to costume parties, WooHoooooo :-D Now THAT was fun! And ummm...there was no candy involved :-D
Hope you all had a good Hallow's Eve!
BTW, my son had a Halloween party at school and went as none other than the Jedi Master himself :-D What else :-D WOOT :-D

Nair and rotten eggs? wtf.. LOL. That's awfu! We didn't celebrate halloween in the Philippines other than praying for the souls.
I got my first taste when we came here in '76. I was 10. We lived in an apartment building and my english was so poor, I just remember yelling,
treek her a treat.
Praying for souls is a whole lot better =)
Awww that's so cute…treek her a treat! :-D
I can't imagine that you even had an accent!
Girrrrrrl….they started keeping the eggs in early September to get nice and smelly by October 31st!
