I remember old Ronald Reagan, evidently in Alzheimers, trying to answer questions–one memorable scene outside at the White House, where he was fumbling for an answer to a press question - and Nancy whispered (audible to audience) “We;re doing the best we can.” and Reagan looked at her and he said the words she fed him. I I hope Americans will be wise in this very important choice. It is hard to understand that he is a choice at all. I am sure there are some intelligent Republicans - hell, even Pat Buchanan looks pretty good compared to McCain. At least he is articulate - and even funny at times. McCain is just an old fart.
I keep saying it over and over “What were they thinking?”
It is obvious his mind was nowhere near the topic of which he was speaking. Do Americans really want to vote for someone that is that seriously unfocused? And if they do vote in the repugnicans, he could be declared unfit, and then they'd really be dutched with dear Sarah!!! OMG - the thought just thrills me!!!!
After referring to the various proposals that comprise his domestic policy agenda, John McCain offered an absolute head-scratcher of a line during a campaign speech on Wednesday.
“Across this country this is the agenda I have set before my fellow prisoners,” he declared. In the prepared remarks he was supposed to say “fellow citizens.” *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* In context, out of context…there's just NO way PRISONERS should've been a word used here. This is what McInsane is REALLY thinking about.
Allow me to transcribe this verbatim…
HE says, “Across this…Across this country, this is the Agenda I have set before my Fellow Prisoners…and the same standards of clarity and candor must now be applied to my opponent.”
There will be NO clarity and NO candor applied to my opponent.
That's probably why he stumbled. He can't even look at Obama in a debate. At least, falling behind in the polls made him a teeny bit more serious last Tues night.
And just this little statement doesn't solidify my stance…His whole demeanor and vibe does. Everything he says does. The way he turns red and gets flustered easily does. His attitude does. The way he reacts and nitpicks does. The way he seems stuck in 1968 does. His age does. His views does.
“We think of the key, each in his prison Thinking of the key, each confirms a prison.” reality can really be a jail… some think money/power/greed will free them, and so accidentally they add more bars…. the quote is eliot, from “the wasteland.” for the records

Ariela,
Or you could just translate that -
There will be NO clarity and NO candor applied to my opponent.
That's probably why he stumbled. He can't even look at Obama in a debate. At least, falling behind in the polls made him a teeny bit more serious last Tues night.
Not that that mattered.

Ummm….here's a little more of what he said before that statement.
Ummm….it still doesn't make any sense.
