How do you react to violence?

Posted on Oct 2nd, 2008 by Resurrected1 : Ariela -Quantum Leaper Resurrected1
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 02, 2008:

This is so totally not an enlightened response...it is a sarcastic one, tinged with the way I really feel.

To all violent people...to all suicide bombers...to all murderers and rapists and child molesters....to all hate and war-mongers, I SAY :

To the Violent Ones I Say...

White Tara Meditation

Posted on Oct 4th, 2008 by Resurrected1 : Ariela -Quantum Leaper Resurrected1
White T%u0101r%u0101 Meditation

The Goddess White Tara, a female Buddha and meditational deity, is considered to be the Goddess of universal compassion.
She represents virtuous and enlightened activity.
She is the essence of feminine wisdom.
She also represents the essence of compassion, healing and abundance.
White Tara is believed to protect her followers as well as fill their hearts with love and compassion.
She is also invoked by believers for the Blessing of a long life.
Tara is actually the generic name for a set of Buddhas or bodhisattvas of similar aspect.
These may more properly be understood as different aspects of the same quality.
Tara is also known as a saviouress, as a heavenly deity who hears the cries of beings experiencing misery in samsara.
Tara also embodies many of the qualities of Feminine Principle.
She is the Source, the female aspect of the Universe, which gives birth to compassion and relief from bad karma, as experienced by ordinary beings in cyclic existence.
As White Tara, she expresses maternal compassion and offers healing to beings who are hurt or wounded, either physically or psychically.
Tara is pictured as being endowed with seven eyes (at the palms of the hands, soles of the feet, and her forehead). The multiple Eyes symbolize the watchfulness of the compassionate mind.

Om Tare Tuttare Ture Mama Ayuh Punya Jnana Pustim Kuru Svaha

Mama means 'mine' and indicates that you'd like to possess these qualities of long life, merit, wisdom, happiness.

Ayuh is long life (as in Ayurvedic medicine)

Punya means the merit that comes from living life ethically, and this merit is said to help one to live long and happily.

Kuru is a mythical land to the north of the Himalayas.

Jnana is wisdom.

Svaha is an exclamation meaning 'hail' or 'may Blessings be upon'

May the many Blessings of the White Tara be upon you.

The Awareness Crisis

Posted on Oct 5th, 2008 by Resurrected1 : Ariela -Quantum Leaper Resurrected1

Thought this was just AWESOME and would like to share its message with all of my friends here...Great thoughts of utmost importance on our way forward!

By Russ Njust

True economic crisis or not, it appears that we are afforded at this time with a rare opportunity to examine the underlying premises for our beliefs in prosperity and lack. It has been presented to humanity repeatedly, that no matter where we find ourselves within the hierarchy of human values, we will never be able to find inner freedom or contentment by trying to amass material riches... assuming of course, that finding inner freedom and contentment is a priority. So let's look at that.

Personally I don't believe that any of us, by definition, will find more contentment in our lives because we grow more prosperous financially. On the other hand, lacking the necessities and/or comforts of life certainly doesn't do it either. And yet here we are, on this extraordinarily beautiful planet... a virtual Garden of Eden... and we continue to compete for the rights to own, to dominate, to control and to consume her resources, and we're willing to fight and kill one another to get them. How did this happen? Is it a kind of collective madness... or, have we been duped and conditioned somehow to think this way? It's quite possible that we can answer yes to both of these questions.

Have you ever considered that what we, as individuals choose to value, becomes our personal reality? Wouldn't this then, be true for us as a species? The absurdity of our present economic dilemma seems to be pointing toward unseen options... and a new awareness that could take us beyond the fear of loss and lack... eventually creating a system based on true prosperity and equality. To find this awareness however, it seems we need to understand how we're defining our present belief systems.

We base our current world economy on an "agreed value" of earth's resources; precious metals, gems and oil. How this all came about is of course ancient history. Because these resources were rare maybe, and considered precious for different reasons, they were much sought after. Those who "owned" more of these resources became "rich and powerful," following prescribed standards. They became the ones who had control of beings of lesser stature. They became the ruling elite of this planet; they who controlled the ebb and flow of resources and monitored the value systems that form society.

What has changed then, since then? In actuality...nothing much. True, a monetary system of exchange has been created instead of bartering and trade. Yes, we have new technologies that make it easier to move this "wealth" around. Regardless, the duality between "rich and poor" remains primarily the same. In reality, the few still rule over the many, while the many still allow the few to decide how they must live their lives.

The thing to understand here however is that although we are dealing with a value system based on material possession, it is still only a definition of a reality we have agreed upon...once upon a time. And therefore it can be redefined and redesigned.

What is it then that needs to be changed? This question must be foremost in our minds, since change is such a buzzword in the political arena these days. I wonder how far we and our leaders are willing to go to create real change. Surely the free trade market and competition is a necessary element in the creation of growth and ultimately our welfare? Is it?

Let me submit something to you here, you may or may not agree with; competition is the result of our belief in lack...that we must compete for what little there is. At some point in our evolution we have adopted the belief that there isn't enough in the universe to go around. This belief is at the core of our relationship to life and therefore also defines our financial systems. It is a definition of value that seems real, because we believe it is real. But what isn't so apparent is that this core belief is dominating our lives on every level of our being, be it our physical, emotional, mental or spiritual values as well as our relationships.

If this postulate is true, then this is where we need to change. You can't replace the cogs in an old, worn-out machine with new parts. You will eventually have to replace the machine. If our belief systems are outdated, we need to change our mind about what we truly value in life.

So here's the core question we need to answer; is it true, that there isn't enough in the universe... and therefore on this beautiful planet, to go around? I think many of you will agree it is really a matter of redistribution of wealth, redistribution of resources, developing the right technologies and most important, how we are willing to respond to the needs of others.

Personally, I intrinsically believe there is more than enough to go around and that the source is virtually unlimited. Vast majorities of people are beginning to adopt this belief and thus it grows. How we approach this renewed source of prosperity and how we agree to share it, will redefine our future financial systems. Ultimately, I believe such a system will be based on honoring our relationships to life, to the planet, to its inhabitants and thus; not solely on personal survival and fulfillment.

We are evolving very rapidly at this time, on all levels. We are more aware than ever, of past and current imbalances and the need for a real change. The potential for a whole new awareness and way of life is right before our eyes. This is the real crisis... are we willing to truly acknowledge where we are now and to help create the foundation for the kind of future we all deserve? How? By examining ourselves and facing our issues of lack and prosperity wherever and whenever the need arises. By re-examining our priorities we may discover a power within us, we have long since forgotten... the power to know and to create what we truly want, deep within our soul. When enough of us have discovered this power, the misuse of power will disappear.

Until then, ask yourself this; at the end of the day... when we pass into the great beyond, what can we take with us? What treasures will last, if not the treasures of the heart? It has been said, that what we hold before our hearts is where our treasures lie. My grandmother once wrote a little book entitled, "Better than all the Gold and Diamonds in the World." She was referring to her love for life and her family.

Now, because of our growing awareness, even our concept of family is being redefined. The very fact that we share this planet means it is our home. No one in our family should have to suffer poverty or lack. Nor should our home be the playground of thieves, plunderers and murderers who care not for anything but their own pocketbooks. There are plenty of resources on this planet and the potential for prosperity for everyone. If this growing awareness constitutes a crises, then so be it. Let this then, be our constitution and our declaration of independence.

The Earth Circles the Sun -Heaven Letters

Posted on Oct 9th, 2008 by Resurrected1 : Ariela -Quantum Leaper Resurrected1
HEAVEN #2876 The Earth Circles the Sun, October 9, 2008

God said:

In every Heavenletter, in one way or another, I say to you to get out of the past. I say to let attachment go, for it holds you back. It ties you up. Attachments become reins you put around yourself. With attachment, you hobble yourself.

Attachment is always of the past. It is a holding on to the supposed past or to an idea that you like to keep. You don't want your ideas shaken.

When you are attached, you are closed, not open. When you are attached, you are closed to change. There are changes you favor and other changes you will not permit, even when they have already happened. You like your ideas to be fixed.

What else do I always tell you? To not take offense. To not take anything personally.

It is really true that the sun doesn't go around the Earth. The Earth circles the sun. It seems like the world revolves around you. You do have a say in the circling of the world, yet you are not its center. The sun is. Ultimately, whatever transpires in life affects you as you say it does. Of course, you counter that by saying that you are realistic. You follow common suppositions and call them realistic. Beloveds, it is not realistic to take things personally. It is futile. Taking offense goes nowhere. It circles around yourself, and you are ensnared in a trap of your own making. Offense, once taken, is hard to get away from. When you take offense, you give offense.

I tell you to go higher. I tell you to look upwards. Enough watching where your feet go. See further. See higher. There is a lot of unexplored territory out there. Explore it. Let your heart and mind travel to new pastures. Get off the ground. Do not glue yourself there.

Expand rather than contract. Give rather than hold.

Remember Me and remember Truth. Forget what you have learned. Learn anew. Be careful of what you let into your mind, for what you see and what you learn may hold you captive. What you have learned, beloveds, is of the past. Yes, please, free yourself from the past. Expand your horizons. You are a big person now. You have insights. No longer mumble what you memorized. Have vision instead. See for yourself, beloveds. See.

Come to Me. In your heart, come to your awareness of Me, for I am your deepest Self. You look for signs of Me in life when all the while, I am within. I am your heart of love. I am you. You are I, only you are enclosed in a body, and you set the physical as a limit. Indeed, you have allowed the physical to circumference you and hold you tight in its bonds.

Know how free you are. You are free to realize Our Oneness. Realize that more than some of the other things you have realized.

Consider new possibilities. Allow them. Attend to what you favor. Let go of what you do not favor. Remember My promises to you, for My promises I keep, and so must you keep yours. Do not take words lightly. Let words mean something. Stick to your truth, and say what is your truth and not something that is not.

Go forward to My promises, and they will be fulfilled. You will fulfill them. My promises are beautiful and true. Go toward My promises, and you will reap what I have planted for you. Go toward less than My promises to you, and you will reap what you go toward. You will reap your thoughts. You might as well nurture great things and let the little ones go by the wayside.

Remember always My love for you, for that you can know. You can know My love which is indisputable, even though you do dispute it. Come closer to My love, for it is yours. Savor it now.

Singing All Gaia Friends a Song =)

Posted on Oct 11th, 2008 by Resurrected1 : Ariela -Quantum Leaper Resurrected1

I've fallen in Love with this song and dedicate it to each and every one of my friends here at Gaia, ones I've already met, and the ones I have yet to connect with. You are All Dearly and Divinely Loved... ALL of You/Me/We Are The Reason!~~~<3

A Special Thank You to Kathy (KES) and Janie (Bluewater), from whom I learned of this beautiful song.

You Are The Reason ~by Bonnie Ste. Croix

If you could take silence and make it be words
If you could take children and let them be heard
If you could take war and let it be peace
The sun would rise on a world that's free.

If you could take shame and let it be pride
If you could shine light on the places you hide
If you could bring soldiers back to their lover's arms
The sun would rise on a peaceful morn.

If you could take Earth and heal all her wounds
And know every small step is gonna help it come true
If you could see beauty in everyone's eyes
Then you are the reason for the sun to rise

If we could begin, think of how it would feel
To slow down the pace now, and let yourself heal
To love that there's difference, to love that there's same
One by one in the world now, we'll make it change, we'll make it change

If you could take Earth, and heal all her wounds
And know every small step is gonna help it come true
If you could see beauty in everyone's eyes
Then you are the reason for the sun to rise
Then you are the reason for the sun to rise.
Then you are the reason for the sun to rise

BE THE REASON.

You Are The Reason (Peace Song)

What confuses you most about the world?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 12, 2008:

I used to be very confused... (before this long-awaited SHIFT started to happen, and is happening now...I sit back and watch gleefully :-D)...confused about why on Earth people Worshipped this printed paper called MONEY.

Why people would treat others as if they were worthless non-people if they didn't have a JOB working and slaving somewhere....or weren't sporting other people's names on their clothes, cars and goods...elevating these branded names into quasi-Godhood.

So many are still asleep to this madness...but....wakey wakey! RISE and SHINE!!!
From the time I was a child I could tell, and did say on many occasions, that this world was backwards. Well, well, well... Can you say Polar Shift? What was wrong is being made right.

London Bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down...
:-D...yippeeeee says a small voice on Earth =)

What makes your family unique?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 17, 2008:

The family I made...not the family I was born into...is unique because we're hybrids, LOL :-D We're a Rainbow Family. Poster Family for Hands Across America. :-D

Let's see...I am both East and West Indian. My eldest son is what I call a TriniRican (half Trinidadian and half Puerto Rican)...my youngest son is mixed with...umm... well, his father is half black, half Jewish (is that even a race? lol) so he's...all mixed up, hahhahaa. And my daughter is half Indian, half black. :-D

What can I say, purebreds are boring.

I'm the Original Geneticist...scientists have nothing on the power of Woman.
I am mixing my DNA with different races. Eventually we'll all be GREY.

Do you know your purpose in life?

Posted on Oct 23rd, 2008 by Resurrected1 : Ariela -Quantum Leaper Resurrected1
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 23, 2008:

Yes, and it is something like this...

Lord, make me an instrument of Thy Peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow Love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, Faith;
where there is despair, Hope;
where there is darkness, Light;
and where there is sadness, Joy.

O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.

Amen. (and Awombyn)

~I Have A Dream~

Posted on Oct 23rd, 2008 by Resurrected1 : Ariela -Quantum Leaper Resurrected1
Common: "A Dream" Music Video

[Chorus - Will.i.am and Martin Luther King]
(I am happy...I Have a Dream) I got a Dream
(That One Day ) Were gonna work it out out out
(That One Day ) Were gonna work it out out out
(That One Day ) Were gonna work it out
(I Have a Dream) I got a Dream
(That One Day ) Were gonna work it out out out
(That One Day ) Were gonna work it out out out
(That One Day ) Were gonna work it out
(I Have a Dream) I got a Dream
(That One Day) That one day
(That One Day) I'ma look deep within myself
(I Have a Dream) I gotta find a way...
My Dream Is To Be Free
My Dream Is To Be
My Dream Is To Be
My Dream Is To Be Free

[Verse 1]
In search of brighter days, I ride through the maze of the madness,
Struggle is my address, where pain and crack lives,
Gunshots comin' from sounds of Blackness,
Given this game with no time to practice,
Born on the Black list, told I'm below average,
A life with no cabbage,
That's no money if you from where I'm from,
Funny, I just want some of your sun
Dark clouds seem to follow me,
Alcohol that my pops swallowed bottled me,
No apology, I walk with a boulder on my shoulder,
It's a Cold War - I'm a colder soldier,
Hold the same fight that made Martin Luther the King,
I ain't usin' it for the right thing,
In between Lean and the fiends, hustle and the schemes,
I put together pieces of a Dream
I still have one

[Chorus]

[Verse 2]
The world's seen me lookin' in the mirror,
Images of me, gettin' much clearer,
Dear Self, I wrote a letter just to better my soul,
If I don't express it then forever I'll hold, inside
I'm from a side where we out of control,
Rap music in the 'hood played a fatherly role,
My story's like yours, yo it gotta be told,
Tryin to make it from a gangsta to a Godlier role,
Read scrolls and stow slaves,
And Jewish people in cold cage,
Hate has no color or age, flip the page,
Now my rage became freedom,
Writin' dreams in the dark, they far but I can see 'em,
I believe in Heaven more than Hell,
Blessings more than jail,
In the ghetto let love prevail,
With a story to tell, my eyes see the glory and well,
The world waitin' for me to yell "I Have a Dream"

[Chorus]

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 25, 2008:

Do you enjoy vacationing?
~OMG, who doesn't? If you can afford to go, damn right we're gonna enjoy it! :-D

Are vacations important to you?
~Very, very! Though there are more important things going on and vacations sometimes have to take a back seat until it's settled.

What do you feel should be the focus of a vacation?
~Relaxation! Chillaxing! Sleeping in the sun on the beach! Rocking in a hammock with a frosty drink! No focus at all! A time to get blurry! LOL LOL LOL!

When was the last time you took time off?
~My little weekend vacation to a Safari Adventure :-D On 08-08-08.
I would love to go on another Caribbean Cruise, those are so much fun. I loved going up to the decks when we were 'at sea'...just in the middle of the ocean with nothing around but Water. Oh and the foooooood, gawwwwwd! Everywhere you went there was food on all decks...and beautiful carvings from the watermelons and all that....and ice sculptures.

I'd upload pics from my vacations, but they were usually with my jealous sister, who, OOPS, would always expose the film...all that's left now is pics of me on Caribbean islands Mooning the camera. (these types of pictures never get ruined for some reason LMAO)
